According to the ALISON Database (22 April 2009 20:55) the following bills (apparently should they choose to get to them) will be under discussion in their respective chambers on the 23rd of April, 2009. Please take the time to contact your representative(s) and senator(s) and let them know what you think.
Bills on the House Schedule for Legislative Day 23 (23 April 2009)
HB362 - Storage of Firearms in a Motor Vehicle - with one substitution
The substitution exempts railroads from the provisions of this bill. It is not like adding them to the exemption list is a big deal. There are many others like, "(2) An employer providing employees with a secure parking area which restricts general public access through the use of a gate, security station, security officers, or other similar means which limit public access into the parking area." Which means anyone who has a gate and a fence can ignore this legislation.
